In the past we there was no existence of AI so we had no ways to complete tasks that we use AI for now days. So, if we look at simple things like making coffee or turning a light on or off, in the pre-AI time we would make everything by hand and have to physically move to turn a light off or shut the window or close the blinds. Now days we just command our phone to do so for us without requiring movement. Due to this there was research held by Katie Link who discuss these exact effects on us.
All throughout our daily lives, all around us we are surrounded by AI intelligence, whether we realise it or not. From waking up in the morning using an alarm that we set on our phone, to Googling a fact in the midday, to getting back home to command Alexa to turn the light on. We are constantly using AI because as technology has advanced, we have learnt to think of these software as a normal medium whereas in the past it was seemed as an out there idea.
In the upcoming future, we see even more scope for these day to day uses as people are getting more mingled with this technology. With there being an increase of higher level of AI being programmed, the main problem lies in the power and network required to run these advanced algorithms.
Below I have attached a TED talk by Ms Inga Strumke, and her views on how human behaviour is affected by the involvment of AI
